Cookie Policy

Effective Date: April 14, 2026 Last Updated: April 14, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how KeyPort uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites (keyport.sbs, app.keyport.sbs, customer.keyport.sbs). We value your privacy and use these technologies only when strictly necessary for the Service to function or to improve your user experience.

1. What are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognize your device and store certain information about your preferences or past actions.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

KeyPort uses two types of cookies: Strictly Necessary and Functional. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies for marketing purposes.

2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for you to browse the website and use its features. Without these cookies, the Service cannot function.

Cookie Name Purpose Duration
kp_app_session Essential session identifier for the Organization Dashboard Session
kp_customer_session Essential session identifier for the Customer License Portal Session
keyport_theme Beta Remembers your preference for light or dark mode
Not available for all; under testing and development

3. Third-Party Cookies

While we avoid third-party cookies wherever possible, certain parts of the Service rely on external providers:

  • Dodo Payments — When you access the billing portal, our payment provider may set cookies to process payments and prevent fraud.
  • Cloudflare — Our infrastructure uses Cloudflare to protect against DDoS attacks. Cloudflare may set cookies to identify trusted web traffic.

4. How to Manage Cookies

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can set your browser to:

  • Block all cookies
  • Delete cookies when you close the browser
  • Notify you when a new cookie is set

Warning: If you block strictly necessary cookies, you will be unable to log in to the KeyPort dashboard (app.keyport.sbs) or customer portal (customer.keyport.sbs).

5. Local Storage

In addition to cookies, we use browser Local Storage to store non-sensitive preferences like your documentation search history and theme settings. Local Storage persists until you manually clear it in your browser settings.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

While we typically aim to provide reasonable prior notice (at least 7 days where practicable) for material updates, some changes—including those related to security or infrastructure updates—may apply immediately at our discretion. On any changes, we will notify you via email or a notification in your dashboard.

8. Questions
